SoCo Music Fest

A week or so ago, I shot the SoCo Music Fest for Complex Magazine - it was a seven hour free music event that was headlined by Gnarls Barkley (he was super entertaining - go see him). It was a loooong, hot day filled with pretty good music - a lot of it local.

The Klumps big day

It was kind of nice going to a wedding where I had no responsibility to shoot photographs. I focused just on my friends, and of course the B&G. It was in Clarkston, Michigan - couldn't have asked for more perfect weather for the fourth of July weekend. I was exhausted coming home from spending a weekend with everyone, but oh was it fun.

Leah & Aaron

Leah and Aaron were such an easy couple to shoot - so laid back and fun. It was supposed to rain all day, but luckily cleared up about an hour before their ceremony. They danced the night away to a bluegrass band from Jackson Hole and were married at Devil's Thumb Ranch in Tabernash, Colo. - a beautiful spot that practices sustainability.

Colfax Luv

I went on a "post-modern safari photo hunt" along Colfax Avenue in Denver two Saturdays ago. There sure is a lot to take photos of - interesting stories and characters. The gallery opening of Colfax Love is at Neopolitan Gallery June 14 at 7.

Since I haven't shown you anything new lately - here's an assignment I received from the Glenwood Springs Post Independent on Akim Gama - a Zimbabwean who had been in jail for more than 8 months. Read the story here
