I went on a "post-modern safari photo hunt" along Colfax Avenue in Denver two Saturdays ago. There sure is a lot to take photos of - interesting stories and characters. The gallery opening of Colfax Love is at Neopolitan Gallery June 14 at 7.

Brides Against Breast Cancer does an annual tour where they sell donated new designer gowns at discounted rates, the proceeds of which go towards finding the cure. Prices range on average from $99-$799 and they even have couture gowns (around 20k) discounted at 25-75%.

The tour comes to Denver May 7-10th at the Ritz Carlton. Thursday night is the VIP sale requiring ticket purchase ($50/bride $25/guest). The Friday and Saturday Sales are free!

Jes & Dave engagement portraits

Met with Jes and Dave on a beautiful spring day in Wash Park. They wanted to do the shoot there since that was where they got engaged. We did a few shots under the tree where Dave asked Jes and then we went to one of the lakes. What a fun and easy-going couple.

Ayelish and Aziz

Ayelish and Aziz were married at the end of March in a beautiful chapel in Evanston, Ill. She wore a kick-ass '60s style dress and Aziz was handsome in his suit. The couple were so overwhelmed and grateful by the number of guests who came at short notice. Everyone seemed to have a blast.

Kites

Had a fun assignment on Saturday. Learning my way around the 'burbs of Denver. Making a lot of U-turns, and putting some extra miles on my car, but still getting to the events nonetheless. This event taught this little boy a little something about patience. He didn't understand why he and his dad couldn't keep the kite up in the air.
